  1. I start my day with lemon juice + water … or, when I feel a bit run down, I boost it up a bit with some ginger, garlic and cayenne pepper. Works wonders 🙂

    1. Not stupid at all! Both coffee and milk are acidic so they tend to have the exact opposite effect on the body. If you must have your daily cup of coffee, wait at least an hour after drinking the water and lemon, stick to almond, rice or coconut milk and try to have no more than one cup of coffee a day. You can also make sure to have a leafy green salad or an alkalizing vegetable in each of your meals every day, to ensure that your body stays in a nice alkaline balance. Thanks for the comment!

  2. I drink water with lemon every morning with a little ginger crushed in in. It makes a huge difference in my energy level and helps with overall detoxification.
    Great video. Thanks !!

  3. Yes I started doing this recently in morning and in afternoon with fresh lemon and squuezed and I noticed a diffrence in feeling refreshed. I also cut back from 3 cups of cofee a day down to just one and wait an hr in the morning un til I had lemon water or just spring water fisrt to combat and hydrate:)

  4. Why warm water vs cold? Would it still be beneficial with cold?
Also, I hear that many large studies found that 3 cups of coffee per day were beneficial to health. Is this not the case?

    1. Cold is fine but warm water is better since your body doesn’t have to spend extra energy warming the water. Regarding coffee, there are as many studies showing the benefits of coffee as there are showing that it could be bad for you. My biggest issue with coffee is that is causes acidity in the body, which leads to inflammation and this is now known to be the root cause of many of the preventable diseases we suffer from in the Western world. Hope this helps. Thanks!

  5. I’ve been a lemon-water junkie for quite some time now, on top of a very healthy lifestyle overall. At 52 I look amazingly young and my skin is awesome, but I still get the occasional breakout here and there, maybe it is my new found youth reawakening. What is a girl to do!!!!
